Together with Member of the Bundestag Sebastian Roloff we cordially invite you to an interesting online discussion event:

Israel’s Gender Index, an innovative tool for measuring and monitoring the level of gender inequality in all areas of life – education, labor force participation, political representation, poverty, time-use, gender-based violence, family status, media, culture, health, and more will provide an insight into the topic.

We will then look to the state of equality in Germany and whether the situation can be compared. Where can we find similarities, differences and urgent need for action?

Hadass Ben Eliyahu is the scientific director of “Yoda’at (She Knows)-Israel’s Knowledge Center on Women and Gender” at the Van Leer Jerusalem Institute, where she leads projects in the field of gender equality, including the Gender Index and a study on invisible work. She published guides for gender mainstreaming in organizations.

Lisi Maier is the director of „Bundesstiftung Gleichstellung“ (Federal Foundation for Equality) which was founded in 2021 and is based at the Federal Ministry for Family Affairs, Senior Citizens, Women and Youth. The purpose of the foundation is to strengthen and promote equality between women and men in Germany.
